Time Machine Secures $50,000 for Charitable Causes at the Imagine Dragons Concert

Donors Give to Support Kids with Illnesses After Thousands Take Action Through New App

Salt Lake City (July 29, 2015) — Time Machine announced a $50,000 donation to several children’s charities during last night’s Imagine Dragons concert at the EnergySolutions Arena. The donations to the Tyler Robinson Foundation, The Progeria Research Foundation and Sophie’s Place were the result of a 28-day campaign that took place online through Time Machine, a mobile iOS app that lets people collaborate with brands, bands and organizations to increase social impact, raise awareness and generate support for dozens of charitable causes.

Through the app, thousands of participants gave more than +1900 hours of service to raise support and awareness for good causes. Over three weeks, Time Machine users spent

  • more than 335 hours raising awareness for pediatric cancer, Progeria research and music therapy programs
  • more than 258 hours appreciating the outdoors
  • more than 223 hours supporting other worthy causes, such as CHOICE Humanitarian, Operation Underground Railroad, I Am a Person and more.

The “It’s Time” campaign allowed users to complete activities and share posts on social media while project partners rewarded users with prizes such as free meals from Costa Vida, merchandise from Arvo, Beacon Audio and Jaybird or a VIP experience with Imagine Dragons.

Vine stars Kenny Holland and Wesley Stromberg took the stage to announce “It’s Time” will be followed up with an encore campaign, “Overtime.” Users will be able to take action on behalf of the same causes for a new set of rewards, including a Gibson guitar signed by Imagine Dragons.

“It’s Time” motivated users to spend time supporting and raising awareness for worthy causes through dozens of fun and challenging activities such as:

  • Volunteering at a hospital
  • Performing a lip sync
  • Sharing an educational article or video.

More than just another list or challenge app, Time Machine provides a simple platform for businesses to embrace experience marketing, a method of promotion that creates live and immersive experiences customers are eager to share on social media. Time Machine has also collaborated on experience marketing campaigns with other organizations such as NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young’s Forever Young Foundation, which sponsored a project in the app to grow their audience and inspire people to live life beyond the screen.

Time Machine is available in the App Store for download today. For more information on Time Machine or the charities supported by “It’s Time,” visit www.timemachine.do.
