Fragrance Company Enlists Employees to Inspire Kindness
Press Release – MERIDIAN, Idaho – You never know what impact a small act of kindness can have on a person. But what about 120,000 small acts of kindness?
On Friday, April 27th to mark International Pay It Forward Day (April 28), Heidi and Orville Thompson, President and CEO of Scentsy, are giving every Scentsy employee $10 to go out in their communities and do a good deed. This marks the eighth year the Thompsons have encouraged Scentsy employees to canvass their communities with kindness. And they are challenging the 120,000 Independent Scentsy Consultants worldwide to participate as well.
The fragrance and home décor company lists generosity as one of its core values, so it comes as no surprise that Heidi Thompson proclaims International Pay It Forward Day as one of her favorite holidays.
“There can never be too much kindness in this world,” said Heidi Thompson, Scentsy’s President and Co-Owner. “It doesn’t take much to brighten someone’s day, and yet the impact can be immeasurable. I love watching this radiate out as one person’s act of kindness gets passed on and on and on.”
In addition to the$10 in cash, each employee is given a small card that invites the recipient to pass on a good deed for someone else. Employees then share their Pay It Forward experience online with #ScentsyPIF.
