Orlando City Foundation to Host Fourth Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament

Registration now open for tournament and pre-tournament dinner

Press Release – ORLANDO, Fla. (July 19, 2016) – The beautiful Disney World Magnolia and Palm Golf Courses will be hosting the Fourth Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the Orlando City Foundation on Monday, September 19, 2016.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. with a scramble format. Registration for foursomes is now open, while participants will also have the opportunity to register to golf with a celebrity.

2016 celebrity participants will be announced at a later date. Former celebrity golfers include Orlando City SC Founder and President Phil Rawlins, Orlando City players, Mayor Buddy Dyer, two-time World Series Champion Johnny Damon and former Orlando Magic star Bo Outlaw.

In addition to 18 holes, players will also be treated to breakfast and will have access to the driving range and putting green. Raffle tickets and mulligans can also be purchased at the event to benefit the Orlando City Foundation.

Before hitting the links, fans are invited to attend the Pre-Tournament Evening Reception Dinner where guests will enjoy dinner along with entertaining anecdotes and stories from Rawlins and a to-be-named Special Guest. This event is open to all, regardless of participation in the golf tournament the next day, and will be held at the Shades of Green Resort.

Players registered for Monday’s tournament will also have an opportunity to enjoy a round of golf on Sunday, September 18 for just $35. More information can be found here.

Space for both events is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, the Celebrity Golf Tournament raised more than $70,000 for the Orlando City Foundation.

Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course is named for its majestic magnolia trees and features elevated tees, spacious greens and challenging water hazards. Disney’s Palm Golf Course features shimmering lakes, tropical sands, palm trees and sloping greens.
