Non-profits can double online donations with 1-click donations across all devices
SAN FRANCISCO AND WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 12, 2014 — oneID, a digital identity provider, today announced the latest version of QuickDonate, the online donations solution that enables 1-click donations across all devices. This solution provides a PCI-compliant, cryptographically secure architecture in a simple-to-integrate and simple-to-use design. With QuickDonate, nonprofits can double their online contributions. The new solution is being demonstrated at this week’s 2014 NTC (#14NTC).
Today, most nonprofits and campaigns do not have the capability to store user (i.e. donor) information. That means that with every donation, regardless if it’s a first or repeat donation, the supporter has to complete a form or set up a site-specific account, including another username and password Unfortunately, this process results in high abandonment rates—as high as 85 percent in many cases, and even worse on mobile devices.
QuickDonate solves this problem by saving donor information—without requiring a username and password—and eliminating the “form.” Upon their next donation, a user simply gives with a click. And once a person has a oneID, they can use it wherever QuickDonate is available.
“We know from past 1-click campaigns that donors with an account are likely to give three times as often and four times as much. But, the need to enter a user name and password to access an account is creating a barrier to the success of online donations,” explained Steve Kirsch, oneID’s founder and CEO. “Other solutions out there are only enrolling between eight and 20 percent. Meanwhile, QuickDonate, without username and password requirements, is already seeing the highest donor enrollment rates in the industry—67 percent.”
Since Salsa Labs implemented QuickDonate from oneID in September 2013, the solution is now deployed by more than 60 nonprofits.
QuickDonate is based on the oneID platform, meaning it works everywhere oneID is used and not just on a nonprofit’s specific site. The ‘account’ can be used across all sites that use QuickDonate. So, the more sites that use QuickDonate, the more people will have 1-click donation functionality. It can also identify if a donor has a QuickDonate account and can then provide the right experience so no ‘list matching’ or sorting is necessary.
Other key features of QuickDonate include:
- Platform Agnostic: integrates across existing web and CRM systems.
- Quick Integration: hours, not days or weeks.
- 1-Click Form Fill: garner support outside of contributions.
