The Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research Unveiled Its Newly Design Website

Pancreatic.org Features a New, Bold Look with Enhanced Resources, the Latest Information on Pancreatic Cancer, a Motivational Blog and Mobile-Friendly Access

Press Release – LOS ANGELES, CA – Pancreatic.org gets a makeover. Everything there is to know about pancreatic cancer can be found at the beautifully redesigned website for the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. Relaunched in August 2016, the new and improved design makes the website more aesthetically attractive using upgraded navigational tools and amplified resources. The site will serve as a primary source of information for patients and families. In step with advanced technology, the new website can now be easily accessed and viewed on a variety of mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets.

The Hirshberg Foundation’s new website uses bold, clean colors such as blue and white as its blueprint and is mildly accented with the color purple, to show solidarity as it is the official color for pancreatic cancer awareness. Key components of the new website include: extensive research; comprehensive content and FAQs about pancreatic cancer; patient and family support information; a historical look about the Hirshberg Foundation, donations, ongoing events and the progression on the latest treatments and developments. A motivational blog has also been added to share/post inspiring stories that can be submitted by patients, families, caregivers, physicians and researchers alike.

“Our previous site needed to be updated in design, web development and functionality,” said Lisa Manheim, Executive Director for the Hirshberg Foundation. “Not only does pancreatic.org provides the latest information for the general public, we also have valuable research material available for the medical community including a way to submit an application for our highly coveted Seed Grant program.” A video recording archive of the Hirshberg Foundation’s annual medical symposiums spotlighting patients and a think tank of this country’s brilliant medical experts is also available to stream with just a click of a button.

Created by graphic designer and webmaster, Jennifer Mola, the Hirshberg Foundation is extremely confident that the redesigned pancreatic.org will increase traffic to the site while expanding awareness as well as reaching differing audiences inspiring site visitors to not just hope, but to help.

Founded in 1997, the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing pancreatic cancer research, and providing information, resources and support to pancreatic cancer patients and their families. Established by Agi Hirshberg, whose husband Ronald died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 54, the foundation includes the Ronald S. Hirshberg Translational Pancreatic Cancer Research Laboratory; the Ronald S. Hirshberg Chair in Translational Pancreatic Cancer Research; and the Hirshberg Pancreatic Cancer Information Center. In February 2015, the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA introduced the UCLA Agi Hirshberg Center for Pancreatic Cancer Diseases made possible by the generous $10 million in gifts to UCLA from Hirshberg.
