Dress For Success® Morris County: Much More Than The Suit

Madison, N.J., August 2015 – Dress for Success® Morris County, a non-profit organization that believes every woman deserves the opportunity to achieve economic independence and self-sufficiency through meaningful and sustainable employment, announces the wide range of services they offer across nine New Jersey counties, and the many ways individuals can contribute this Fall.

Working to get women working, Dress for Success® Morris County provides much more than simply new outfits to underserved women. They offer tools, skills and confidence to help these women get and retain jobs through a unique, comprehensive suite of services including:

  • A full complement of career services, employment retention programs and job training
  • Suiting for interviews and for after finding employment
  • A Mobile program, which brings suits and career development services to women who cannot get to their location in Madison, NJ
  • An ongoing network of support, coaching and guidance
  • The full range of programs offered can be viewed at https://morriscounty.dressforsuccess.org/client-services/

The value of the services that each client receives is nearly $1,000 per year for the full complement of services. Running almost exclusively on volunteers and donations, they act as an executive coach, an image consultant, a mentor and support system for women across nine New Jersey counties including Morris, Essex, Union, Passaic, Warren, Sussex, Middlesex, Bergen and Somerset.

Your financial or volunteer engagement will enable these women, who are struggling to overcome adversity, to move from dependency to self-sufficiency. There are many ways to get involved by way of donating clothing, money or your time:

  • Donate your gently used, nearly-new professional attire
  • Make a monetary contribution directly to Dress for Success® Morris County at https://morriscounty.dressforsuccess.org/get-involved/donate/
  • Help a woman find a suit and apply make-up appropriate for the workplace
  • Sort through and organize donations at their boutiques
  • Provide career coaching, including resume and cover letter writing and mock interviewing
  • Volunteer your time for a special event via fundraising or on-site assistance
  • Volunteer to be part of their annual gala committee (gala is held in April each year)
