Band Joins New Platform and iOS App to Raise Support for Charitable Causes
Salt Lake City (July 1, 2015) — A VIP experience at the sold out performance of the Grammy Award winning band Imagine Dragons in Salt Lake City will be given away to participants using a new mobile app that inspires people to support worthy causes. Time Machine is a mobile iOS app that lets people collaborate with brands, bands, causes and others to increase social impact, raise awareness and generate support for dozens of charitable causes.
Time Machine launched today the “It’s Time” campaign where users complete activities from curated lists and share posts on social media, project partners reward users with prizes such as free meals, merchandise and a VIP experience with Imagine Dragons at their July 28 concert at the EnergySolutions Arena.
“Time is our most precious resource, but most of us just follow people instead of having our own meaningful experiences,” said Time Machine co-founder Lindsay Hadley. “We want people to do inspiring things and support causes, online and beyond the screen.”
“It’s Time” will motivate users to spend their time supporting and raising awareness for worthy causes through dozens of fun and challenging activities such as:
- Volunteering at a hospital
- Performing a lip sync
- Sharing an educational article or video.
Each activity is worth minutes, or points, that qualify users to win free meals, merchandise and tickets to see Imagine Dragons, as well as the grand prize which includes a meetandgreet backstage with the band.
Time Machine has secured major partnerships for the “It’s Time” campaign including Costa Vida, Arvo Watches, Beacon Audio, Jaybird, ABC 4 News, The Tyler Robinson Foundation, The Progeria Research Foundation, Sophie’s Place and dozens of other charitable organizations. Time Machine is also collaborating on experience marketing campaigns with other organizations such as NFL Hall of Famer Steve Young’s Forever Young Foundation, which has launched projects in the app to grow their audience and inspire people to live life beyond the screen.
