NEW YORK (November 27) — On Tuesday, November 24, 2015, the Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Foundation (DRC Foundation) helped to brighten up the holiday season for a group of Harlem teens by hosting a private, chef-prepared, Thanksgiving dinner for the Polo Grounds Community Center Teen Program, an initiative driven by The Children’s Village.
At this private dinner, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and the DRC Foundation were able to spread holiday cheer, and provide nourishment in a traditional Thanksgiving setting, with a Southern-American holiday meal catered by J. Blair Catering. The group enjoyed an elaborate menu consisting of citrus turkey, honey garlic chicken, fried chicken, yellow rice, baked macaroni and cheese, mixed vegetables, and more.

Dominique joined the teens in the seated dinner, and later spoke to the youth on the importance of staying positive through life obstacles. The teens also had the pleasure of challenging Dominique in a friendly game of basketball.
“I enjoy giving back and supporting youth that are facing challenges in their lives,” said New York Giants cornerback, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. “The DRC Foundation is my platform to empower youth to believe they can achieve whatever they put their minds to.”
It is the continued mission of the Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Foundation to support underprivileged youth with the resources and tools needed to excel in education and athletics, and develop strong life skills to become productive citizens in the community.
