About Ziggedy, Inc.

Users that sign up with Ziggedy will earn donations for the nonprofit cause of their choice when they shop online from over 3,500 retailers such as Nordstrom, Target, Walmart, and Best Buy. The company donates an average of 2.5% of a user’s purchase back to their selected nonprofit cause when they click through Ziggedy to a partnered retailer prior to purchasing. There is no cost to the user or the nonprofit they are supporting to earn these donations. In addition, Ziggedy offers features such as wish list creation for in-kind donations, as well as price comparisons and deals for shopping convenience.

Ziggedy was created as a direct result of CEO and Founder, Huy DangVu’s experience with the current fundraising landscape. “After years of frustration with existing school fundraising programs, we are excited to be able to create an easier fundraising solution, not only for schools but also for all nonprofits. Further, given the recent Great Recession, which has negatively impacted charitable giving as well as available time for volunteering, Ziggedy’s solution is needed now more than ever,” said DangVu.

In September 2013, Ziggedy released a controlled alpha launch. Over the following year, they worked closely with a few select nonprofits such as the Los Angeles Mission and Make-A-Wish Foundation Orange County and the Inland Empire to receive feedback and refine the website. The past few months, however, have been dedicated to reaching out more broadly to other nonprofit organizations to get their supporter base on Ziggedy.
