$50,000 Will Be Shared Between Two Chapters of Junior Achievement®, and the Voters Decide How It’s Split!
New York or Seattle…can you tell where the picture is from?
BoomBox, Inc., in partnership with American Express and Delta Air Lines®, announces the official launch of the #GoTo Instagram Campaign (www.GoToSEAorNYC.com), a social media-based game. American Express will be donating a total of $50,000 to the non-profit Junior Achievement®, but how that money is split is decided by the voters! Recently launched, the campaign is going viral with over 325,000 votes already counted and more than 4,300 photos to view!
The Photos
Anyone can submit photos that everyone can view and vote on. All you need to do is snap a picture of something in either New York or Seattle and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #GoToSEA or #GoToNYC. Photos are categorized as either sights, bites, or activities, and each one shows a piece of what makes these cities so great!
The Voting
On the site you’ll be presented with two pictures—one from each city in one of the three categories. Choose which is your favorite to reveal which city you’d #GoTo.
The Scores
Total scores are calculated by adding the number of photos each city has submitted and the number of votes each city has. Each photo and each vote count as one point. The percentage of total points a city has dictates how much money it will receive from the $50,000.
The more people that get involved, the more fun the campaign becomes! Not only are we getting people involved in how a donation is split, we’re putting all that Instagramming to good use! The six week campaign ends on June 13th, just in time for Delta to continue ramping up it’s already-impressive flight offerings at both their Seattle and NYC hubs.
