The Global Good Fund Expands Its Board of Directors

Jerry Buckley joins leadership board to provide strategic and business expertise

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 19, 2014The Global Good Fund, a nonprofit organization that accelerates the personal development of high potential young leaders tackling global social issues through entrepreneurship, announces Jerry Buckley as a new member of the organization’s prestigious board of directors.

Buckley, a founding partner of the DC-based legal firm BuckleySandler LLP, will share key perspective as the organization shifts from a donor-driven model to offer multiple revenue generating services focused on leadership development of social entrepreneurs. Buckley will also assist in helping to scale The Global Good Fund by cultivating deeper connections with the DC business community.

At BuckleySandler LLP, Buckley assists clients – primarily financial services companies – with strategic counsel on business formations and acquisitions, risk management, and enforcement matters involving federal and state regulators. He also currently serves as an adjunct associate professor of law at the Washington College of Law at American University.

Receiving many accolades, Buckley was one of 114 attorneys nationwide named a member of the “2005 BTI Client Service All-Star’s” team for law firms. In 2009, he was named an eMortgage All-Star by Mortgage Banking magazine and honored as one of Washington, DC’s Top Financial Services Lawyers by Washingtonian magazine. Buckley was selected for inclusion in both Best Lawyers (2013-2014) and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (2008-2014). In Chambers 2014, he is ranked as a Senior Statesman in Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance).

Buckley earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School and A.B. from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
