The Feast Announces First Of Its Kind 2015 Impact East Event And Confirms West Coast Festival Planned For April 2016

Expanded Footprint Will Drive Collaboration, Personal Development and the Celebration of Human Potential; Tickets on Sale Today

New York, NY (July 21, 2015) – Since 2008, The Feast Impact has curated experiences, events, and content that invite people from around the world to use their unique talents to create global change. This year, The Feast Impact reimagines the experience — inviting more partners, speakers, performers and the public to take action and transform the world from the inside out.

Held on October 2-4, the event will grow to gather 3,000 innovators and will welcome the public to experience provocative talks, solution sessions that tackle issues ranging from race to transportation, expert workshops and 1:1 sessions. This year’s Feast Impact will also feature a live public musical showcase curated by Plus One — a non-profit spearheaded by the band Arcade Fire — as well as a workshop for artists and management on adopting the model and how to turn ticket sales into a fundraising force for good.

This year’s theme is “Desire” — what is it and what do we actually desire — for ourselves, each other and the world? How do we channel this creative force to shape the world we want? Speakers and partners who will explore innovative solutions include:

  • Sam Valenti from Ghostly International
  • Marika Shaw from The Arcade Fire
  • Rosalind Wiseman, The New York Times Best Selling Author and Educator
  • Chris Fabian, Head of Innovation at Unicef
  • Vikram Gandhi, Filmmaker and Vice Journalist
  • Radha Agrawal, CEO of Super Sprowtz, Co-founder of Thinx and Daybreaker
  • Kaley Sciortino, Vogue Writer and Relationship Expert
  • Anthony Adams, Co-founder of Summit Series and Mental Health Activist
  • Matthew Brimer, Co-founder of General Assembly and Daybreaker
  • Alexander Fabry, Founder of Artsy

In addition to hosting an expanded Impact East event in Brooklyn from October 2-4, The Feast has announced that the first annual Impact West will be held in San Francisco in April of 2016.

“We want more people waking up to their power to create the kind of world we want to see,” says The Feast Founder, Jerri Chou, “The Feast is about using your skills to change yourself, others and the world. We’re excited to be growing our event to invite more people, and eventually the world, to participate in this movement.”

Impact East tickets are on sale today via ticket portal www.feastongood.com/tickets.

The Feast team will continue to support the community throughout the year via The Feast Worldwide. An independently organized series of dinners, hosts from Rio to Singapore have hosted 600+ events that invite innovators to break bread and tackle issues they care about most.
