Donate kidsport GPS tracking bands to Children with Autism
LEAWOOD, KANS. – Precise Innovation, LLC, recently announced a new program for children with autism in cooperation with the Autism Society of the Heartland. Individuals and corporations can now purchase kidsport GPS tracking bands to be donated to the Autism Society, which will distribute the bands to families in need with children with Autism.
kidsport GPS is a cool, stylish sports band that allows parents to locate their kids on their cell phones, iPads or computers. The band includes several safety features such as an alert button, a secure latch and text alerts when the band is removed or when a ‘geo-fence’ boundary is crossed.
Jennifer Smith, the executive director of the Autism Society – the Heartland, has endorsed kidsport GPS as a “device that will be able to work with families and loved ones with autism to help protect them from wandering situations,” says Smith. “Forty-nine percent of children with autism wander. They may not be able to communicate where they want to go; they just go. kidsport GPS will be able to alert family members immediately if a loved one has gone outside of his or her designated area. This can be used in the home, in the community and in school, keeping our loved ones safe and giving our families peace-of-mind.”
The Autism Society – the Heartland Chapter will work with Autism Society Chapters Nationwide to distribute bands in the areas in which the donors are located. The donors will receive a thank you letter from the Autism Society and pictures of the children receiving the kidsport GPS bands.
Donations are tax deductible. Pre-orders for kidsport GPS tracking bands are being accepted at kidsportGPS.com with discounted pricing starting at $129. The band will be available in the fall.
