A portion of sales at Three Hundred Collins will go toward charity: water’s local partners, supporting water projects in developing countries including Ethiopia and Nepal

MIAMI – JMH Development, New York-based leading developer of Three Hundred Collins, announced today that it is partnering with charity: water, a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Through this innovative business model, JMH is donating $20,000 of every sale made at the luxury boutique residential project to two of charity: water’s partners, Relief Society of Tigray (REST) in Ethiopia and Splash (formerly A Child’s Right) in Nepal. This announcement comes at the heels of the recent earthquake in Nepal, making drinking water even scarcer for millions of Nepalese locals.

“This is the first time JMH Development has launched an initiative of this nature, which we believe is especially critical in light of the recent events in Nepal,” said Jason Halpern, founder and managing partner of JMH Development. “We are dedicated to supporting charity: water in its mission to provide clean, safe drinking water to more than 748 million people around the world, and we look forward to working closely with this worthy organization as we progress with sales at Three Hundred Collins.”

As charity: water’s partners in the ground, REST and Splash, based in Ethiopia and Nepal respectively, serve as local implementing partners, undertaking the physical process of building water projects to benefit developing communities. Splash, a nonprofit organization focused on providing children with access to safe water, will use donations from Three Hundred Collins to fund school water projects and latrines, benefitting approximately 400 Nepalese children with each donation. Similarly, REST will use its donations to build hand-dug wells in Ethiopia’s Tigray Region, benefitting approximately 250 locals per donation.

“charity: water is very grateful to be a part of an exciting and unique partnership such as this,” said Scott Harrison, Founder and CEO of charity: water. “On behalf of each unit sold, 100 percent of what is given will be sent to the field to bring clean water to people in need, and we will report back on every project we build through this partnership. We are thankful to have the generous support of the Three Hundred Collins team, and we look forward to seeing what we accomplish together.”

Three Hundred Collins, the first luxury residential development in Miami by internationally renowned designer Thomas Juul-Hansen, is a five-story, 19-unit boutique property nestled within the vibrant and stylish community of Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. After recently launching sales in February, the property is slated for completion in 2017.
