iShare Charitable Donations Program Donates Over $100,000 To Nonprofits: Image Outfitters Celebrates By Expanding Their Donations Program

Press Release – Stowe, VT (May 2, 2016): Image Outfitters, a socially and environmentally responsible advertising specialties company based in Stowe, Vermont is proud to announce that they have just passed the $100,000 mark donated to nonprofits via their iShare Charitable Donations Program.

Image Outfitters is the first and only advertising specialties company in the United States to become a certified B Corporation and has been championing social responsibility by donating 10% of each new sale to the nonprofit of their client’s choosing.

The idea for the iShare Charitable Donations Program was sprouted during the latest recession when Image Outfitters owners Esbert and Kirsten Cardenas realized how difficult it was for local nonprofits to maintain their donor base during the financial contraction. Newly moved to Vermont, they were surprised by how quickly the local community rallied to support organizations like the United Way of Lamoille County, Meals on Wheels of Lamoille, and Clarina Howard Nichols Center (all recipients of iShare donations). Inspired by the generosity of Vermonters, the iShare Charitable Donations Program was first tested in 2013 as a way to use their business as a force for good.

When asked about the growth of the program, Image Outfitters Founder & CEO Esbert Cardenas said, “The iShare Charitable Donations Program was the tool my wife and I came up with to integrate our philosophy of ‘Learn, Earn, Return’ into the business we have operated for almost twenty years. In 2013, we began offering the iShare program to only new accounts as an experiment. Well after 3 years of only word of mouth advertising and solely offering iShare to new clients, we’ve passed the $100,000 dollar mark in donations – the experiment has been a success! To celebrate, we are expanding the iShare Charitable Donations Program and using it more proactively like we did last month with fellow B Corporation and VBSR member Cabot Creamery to sponsor their April Volunteer Rewards Program.”

In addition to their iShare Charitable Donations Program, Image Outfitters is committed to championing social and environmental responsibility by offering products that are made from recycled materials, sustainably made, and made in the USA.

Image Outfitters is in its 18th year in business and is a member of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility and B Corp.
