The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s (IICF) Western Division announced it is awarding $254,000 in grants to 29 local non-profit organizations across the Western United States, including California and Colorado. Causes supported by these grants range from child abuse prevention to disaster preparedness to education, health and human services. All grants range from $5,000 to $25,000.
Recipients of the Western grants include At the Crossroads, Bay Area Crisis Nursery, Big Brothers Big Sisters Orange County, Boys Hope Girls Hope San Francisco Bay Rea, CALICO, Center for Insurance Studies at California State University Fullerton, Children’s Burea, Family Promise of Greater Denver, Five Acres, Fred Finch, Grossmont College, Hope Now for Youth, Impact Teen Drivers, Interfaith Shelter Network El Nido Program, Kid Power, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Meritus College Fund, National Disaster Search Dog Foundation, Novato Youth Center, Olive Crest, Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center, Reading and Beyond, San Diego Youth Services, Seneca, Shepherd’s gate, STAND! For Families Free of Violence, The Redwoods Group Foundation, Wardrobe for Opportunity, YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles.
The grantees will be further highlighted at upcoming IICF fundraising gala dinners in Los Angeles on March 19 and San Francisco on May 14. More information on these events will be made available shortly.
The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation was founded in 1994 and is funded directly by the insurance industry. It is committed to helping communities by combining industry strengths to provide grants, volunteers, and leadership experience. The California Division was launched in 1994 as the founding division of IICF and expanded in 2008 to become the Western Division.
