New York, NY (July 21 2015) –JUS by Julie’s (www.jusbyjulie.com) all-natural line of blended JUS’, are officially going HPP in July. The high pressure processing (HPP) of the juices will extend the lines shelf life from their current 3 days to 20-35 days.

High pressure processing (HPP) is a non-thermal pasteurization process which preserves and sterilizes foods and juices by applying a very high pressure through a water bath that surrounds the product. The high pressure disables certain bacteria and enzymes within the food, which slows the deterioration of foods by eliminating the chemical activity caused by the bacteria.

HPP is an FDA approved method of treating foods and juices to reduce or eradicate harmful bacteria such as Escherichia coli (E. coli) and salmonella. With HPP JUS’ are immersed in cold water and then subjected to enormous pressure to inactivate the potential bacteria and pathogens that are harmful to our bodies. HPP is an external process, therefore the JUS’ themselves are never touched, so they remain raw. This process extends the shelf life of the JUS to 20-35 days, while maintaining the essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes of the fruits and vegetables.

Currently having two locations across Brooklyn, NY, one in Cedarhurst, NY, and one in Allenhurst, NJ, JUS by Julie presently ships to all 48 US continental states and Canada. Regenerating their JUS’ through HPP will allow them to last longer and withstand shipping nationwide and to Canada. Once the products go HPP, all products containing nut milks will last 20-25 additional days, and all other products will last an additional 30-35 days.
