The supply chain solutions provider is a Silver National Team for the upcoming fundraising events in September
Press Release – ITASCA, ILLINOIS – AIT Worldwide Logistics is proud to announce its support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® by joining the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer as a Silver National Team.
As a result of a firmwide vote, teammates chose to make St. Jude the primary recipient for AIT’s charitable efforts in 2017 and beyond. In response, the company has committed to a dollar-for-dollar pledge matching all teammate fundraising with a goal of $50,000 for the kids of St. Jude.
Held annually in September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month), communities in 64 cities come together for the Walk/Run events which provide a fun and easy way to raise life-saving funds with thousands of other St. Jude supporters. AIT locations across North America will participate in more than 20 of the scheduled events.
Vaughn Moore, AIT’s President and CEO, said, “Actively engaging in our communities is a Core Value at AIT and our team members give back independently in a variety of ways via hundreds of organizations all over the world. Last year, we heard frequent requests from teammates looking for an opportunity to be involved in a companywide initiative for positive change. In response to this feedback, we are excited to be launching our flagship alliance with St. Jude and we look forward to making a long-term, meaningful contribution towards ending childhood cancer.”

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and we won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
