11-Year-Old Female Entrepreneur Creates New, Longer-Lasting Formula Of Zollipops®

The Clean Teeth Pops™ have a longer shelf life, making them easier to share

Press Release – Walled Lake, Mich., Mar. 8, 2017 – As part of International Women’s Day, Zollipops®’s 11-year-old female entrepreneur Alina Morse announced today that her healthy candies that clean your teeth now have a new formula.

The good-for-your-teeth lollipop now has a three times longer shelf life and are even healthier, with a lower glycemic response (the effect a food has on blood sugar levels after consumption).

The new formula is still gluten and GMO-free, and contains no sugar. Morse’s Zollipops actually neutralize acid and help reduce the risk of tooth decay, dental caries and cavities, by raising the pH (a scale used to measure acidic or base qualities) in the mouth.

“One of the greatest challenges for tooth-friendly candy is stability,” said the young entrepreneur. “We listened to our customers and never stopped trying to find that perfect formula that tasted great and was good for you, while lasting longer. We found it!”

After two years of trials, the fourth grader Morse and her team came up with the final formula that makes Zollipops able to be shared in candy jars, while remaining fresh. Morse is shipping out the new suckers to schools, dentists, Amazon, ToysRUs, and other retail partners.

“This new technology helps make our Zollipops available to more kids and adults; anytime, anywhere,” Morse said. “Now, we are even closer to achieving our goal of reducing tooth decay in children and adults. Everyone should be able to enjoy a sweet treat AND a healthy smile.”

A guilt-free indulgence, Morse’s Zollipops have become the No. 1 selling sugar-free lollipop on Amazon.com. She and her cavity-fighting candies have appeared on “Good Morning America” the “Steve Harvey” show, and made it to No. 3 on the Forbes’ list of “Top Ten Emerging Food Trends.” She is also featured as part of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Special Edition 2017 book, published by Scholastic.

Zollipops have partnered with the Special Olympics for their “Special Smiles” program and have donated more than 250,000 healthy lollipops in support of the ADA.
